Monika Rozwarzewska – Delves
Dogs have always been a part of my family, and we’ve always cooked for them. My mother, a graduate of the Agricultural University and a food technologist was an expert in canine nutrition. She taught me what’s good for dogs and what to avoid, so I truly learned from the best. Growing up in Poland, we didn’t have access to commercial dog food until after the fall of the communist system. It was never something we fed our dogs with.
When I moved to the UK and started dog sitting, one of my clients was writer and TV personality Richard Coles, who owned two elderly dachshunds. I offered to cook for them, and the results were remarkable. At that time, I considered studying dietetics, but Richard suggested focusing on dog nutrition instead. That’s when this wonderful adventure began. My husband, Simon Delves, soon joined me, and together, we created a family business dedicated to ensuring dogs get the best, freshest food possible.
We source all our ingredients from local suppliers, which gives us full transparency over where our meat, offal, and vegetables come from, helps us reduce our carbon footprint, and supports local businesses. We’re passionate about delivering wholesome, nutritious meals that support your dog’s health and well-being.
Simon Delves
Like my wife, I’ve had dogs since I was a young boy, and I’ve formed incredible connections with them. I’ve always enjoyed having adventures, playing, and just having fun with them. Having a dog has grounded me in many ways, helping me appreciate the world’s beauty as we’ve explored it together. Whether walking along the South Downs or by the River Ouse, being a Sussex man, I’ve always felt a strong connection to the land, especially with a dog by my side.
I’ve been fortunate with the dogs I’ve had over the years, but I never really gave much thought to their diet until my last dog, Willow. Like many, I assumed feeding her regular kibble was fine, as it’s what everyone did. But looking back, I realise how far that was from the truth. Unfortunately, I didn’t give her the life she deserved regarding her nutrition, which has always stayed with me.
Years later, I met Monika, who had a wonderful pet-sitting business and a deep understanding of dog nutrition. Together, we developed a dog food that meets all the nutritional needs of dogs, and they genuinely love it. Dogs know what’s good for them, far better than processed pellets made from who knows what. It’s not natural for dogs to eat that kind of food exclusively, and it’s not even great for their teeth. Imagine if you ate crisps and biscuits all the time — it’s the same for them.
